In my composing, I focus mainly on small instrumental ensembles, since an overtly soloistic treatment of instruments plays a vital role in my writing. In general, the musical material in my works is drawn directly from the techniques of sound-production, the approach to which doesn't exclude any type of sound-quality. I'm interested in searching for processes, which are often guided by the ideas of instability, unpredictability - and yet coherence, which sometimes seems to be maintained at the threshold of disintegration.
